Did you recently purchase the LAP3 or CSF or Concept 3 High Performance Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) for your G80? If so, you’ll quickly find out that it’s not a direct OEM bolt-on. The left and right-side mounting bolt hole patterns do not match the mating G80 TOC fastening points.
But not to worry, with this Bolt-on Kit specifically designed for the G80, this is your bolt-on solution ensuring a perfect fit and effortless installation. No need to spend the time and effort in measuring and figuring out what you need to make this happen.
Simply bolt the Right-Side Bracket into the G80 OEM location and use the Left-Side Bolt Cutout Template to match drill into the left side flat plate of your new TOC. Now you are ready to fasten your new TOC using the OEM hardware.
Why not a metal flat plate? You can.
However, a flat plate with two holes on each end is simply acting as a rope in tension relying on its bolt torque to hold your TOC level.
Whereas this custom bracket will always keep your TOC level independent of its bolt torque. This bracket comes with a unique design feature that even without tightening the bolt, it will stand in its upright position ensuring your TOC always remains level giving you a clean OEM-like look.
Unlike with a flat bar, it would simply rotate downward by its own weight. Not to mention, you’ll need to either thread match the left side bolt hole of said flat bar or use a flat washer, lock washer and hex nut to fasten the OEM bolt in place. Don’t forget to paint to prevent corrosion, another added cost when going with a flat bar.
